Dennis Vice, Vigneron, Coonawarra

Dennis Vice Vigneron Coonawarra Story by Highbank

Dennis and Bonnie Vice were pioneers of organic viticulture and farm-based tourism more than 25 years ago when they immigrated from America and moved to Coonawarra.

The name 'Highbank' comes from the best wine growing sites on the famous strip of red ground - the high bank of ground that is the central spine of the true Coonawarra wine district.

In addition to many sensational wine reviews of the last twenty years: Robert Parker Jr. of ‘The Wine Advocate” calls Highbank "Australia's version of a top notch Pauillac (such as Lynch Bages or Grand Puy Lacoste) this spectacular blend of Cabernet Sauvignon … “ and "the Leoville Las Cases of Australia "

Their 'Honeysuckle Rise' Country Accommodation is located right among the vines at Highbank offering luxury, romance, comfort, spas and a tranquil setting for the real wine enthusiast. Honeysuckle Rise comes from Aboriginal translation of the word 'Coonawarra'

Highbank wines can be enjoyed at fine restaurants and wine shops in all of Australia’s state capital cities and in more than twenty additional world capitals.
