Eliza Brown, Vigneron, Rutherglen

Eliza Brown Vigneron Rutherglen Story by St Leonards Vineyard

"Great wine is like music, it reminds you of great friends and beautiful places" (Peter R Brown). St Leonards is a quiet heaven for vines and people...

Overlooking a tranquil lagoon, on a bend of the majestic Murray River, fast flowing and still mountain-cold, it always seems cooler than other vineyards nearby. It is more peaceful too. Pelicans spiral down to the lagoon and glide silently through the reflections of the towering gums along the waterline.

If the vineyard at St Leonards is home to a mix of classic and curious varieties, from the usual suspects of Shiraz, Chardonnay and Semillon to the downright obscure Orange Muscat, it is also home to family & friends gathering with its popular monthly musical series "Music on the Murray".

Forming the fourth-generation wine family who own and run St Leonards Vineyard, Eliza, Angela and Nicholas Brown share a youthful passion and a respect for traditional winemaking which they believe are key to produce outstanding premium table wines and Australia’s finest winery experience.
