After twenty years teaching Physical Education, Adrian Munari knew it was time for a change. He stayed in school, but now as a viticultural student at Charles Sturt University Wagga.
The Heathcote Region, home to great soil, beautiful climate and a growing reputation for producing complex, full bodied elegant wines beckoned. He found the perfect property. Situated at the foothills of the Mount Ida range with glorious trees, some vines already planted, a shearing shed to make a winery and stables for a cellar door and a spacious house to live in with his wife Deborah and children Beauregard and India.
That was twenty vintages ago. For Adrian making wine in Heathcote is still an adventure with each year providing it's own challenges but also opportunities to experiment always working to produce wines that express and reflect this unique vineyard and region.
