Dave Swift, Vigneron, Orange

Dave Swift Vigneron Orange Story by Printhie Wines

An Accountant and Horticulturalist had an Engineer and a Graphic Designer. They built a vineyard and winery. They named their wine after a lizard and branded it with a bird.

It is surprising how useful each of these skills are in a wine business.

The accountant, well that really speaks for itself. In Printhie's case mostly unpopular as he wields his power over those who strive to spend.

The horticulturalist, the reason we exist. The vision, foresight and work in establishing the vineyards are hers. She knew the potential of Orange and that of its soils.

The Engineer is the practical one, the "Mr Fix-it", the accusatory "how did you break that?" of the operation. He is the one who makes sure it's working when needed, or a day or so later.

The Graphic Designer, that's Dave Swift. He lays claim to the conundrum, "why is your logo a bird if you're named after a lizard?". The bird is a Swift, their family name. The lizard is a Printhie, their property name. The use of both, artistic license.
