Andreas Greiving had a childhood dream of owning a vineyard. At age 12 he was making fruit from various berries. He thought it was great fun but what was missing was a vineyard so he could make the “real stuff”.

Andreas, his wife Henni and son Benjamin lived as expatriates in various Asian countries before finding their new home in the Heathcote wine region. The expatriate career gave them valuable insights into diverse cultures and this has been integrated into the business philosophy.

At Domain Asmara they offer a real "experience" for guests. Five-star rated wines are paired with regionally inspired food in their bistro. And there is something for everyone - parents can relax on the veranda overlooking the vineyard and Mt Camel ranges, while kids have fun on the adjacent playground. There’s even a B&B home stay to complete the experience.
