Kerri Thompson loves Watervale Riesling so much she carefully creates four different ones and her secret weopon is Bunny Peglidis - vine architect and Watervale 5452, rizza rockstar 33º56'36"S 138º38'09"E.
Kerri Thompson became KT when it was all that would fit on her hard hat when she took over the Senior Winemaker/Manager position at Leasingham Wines in Clare back in 1998. It was in 2006 when Bunny Peglidis rang her to say that his Riesling was up for grabs, KT decided to start her own wine business.
Nowadays KT prides herself on having few rules - other than to make wine from bloody great grapes and so Wines by KT are made from small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit, created from dry grown vineyards in Watervale, Clare Valley. It's where she lives and works.
With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with principles that care for the dirt and people, Wines by KT may only be a new label, but the wines are sourced from vines that have been carefully tended by Bunny Peglidis since 1973.
