100% Un-irrigated vines planted in 1971. Everything grown, made, bottled and sold on the property. Generations of integrity and skill.
The cheeky kid in the cords on the far right is Andrew Marsh. He is the second generation winemaker. He has the same integrity as his father in that everything should adhere to the French Appellation Controlee system where all fruit is un-irrigated, grown on the property, made on the property andd bottled on the property.
Andrew's father had him on the bottling line at age five and picking from six years old. There was no pay, just the promise of naming rights for the next vintage of wines.
Marsh Estate has the best fruit in the Hunter Valley. The brilliant sandy loam soil on the flat for the white varieties and red volcanic clay on the hills for the reds. Couple this with un-irrigated fruit and there is no equal.
We sell only from cellar door and via our website.
