Rogers & Rufus, Vigneron, Barossa Valley

Rogers & Rufus Vigneron Barossa Valley Story by Rogers & Rufus

Rogers: passionate fisherman of dubious ability. Rufus: has all the surfing kit - long boards, boogie boards et al. - but secretly is rather nervous of the whole thing.

But this story is about Rogers, who is particularly keen on fishing while on holidays, finding it a great way to relax but rarely, if ever, does he catch anything. He keeps a small boat, the Dolphin Princess, on the South Coast of Australia near Adelaide where it is rumoured the local fishermen believe he is a threat to the reputation of their fishing grounds.

Learning from his failures he recently bought new fish hooks, but sadly this and other hearsay tricks of the trade don’t seem to be working. He would like to be thought of as a Hunter-Gatherer but his wife always has frozen backup available.

At least Rogers & Rufus, forever dreaming of catching “the big one”, manage to produce a savoury Barossa Rose of Grenache to accompany them on their R&R adventures. Proving that you can do what you love and love what you do.
