Unable to use his name since he sold the famous ‘Knappstein’ winery at Clare, his return was not from the wilderness but to his winemaking roots - making wines from grapes grown in mature and beautifully kept established vineyards in the heart of the Adelaide Hills.

Tim offers a niche range of wines showcasing the high quality potential for this region. The Adelaide Hills can produce tantalisingly elegant and precise wines with a purity of varietal character, line and length which are simply mouthwatering!

Tim’s wine judging commitments play a major role in keeping abreast of wine style trends. Since 1975, he's judged at regional, state, national and international wine shows and is currently chairman of judges at both the annual National Cool Climate Wine Show in Bathurst and the Cowra Wine shows in New South Wales.

Tim’s ‘other’ passion is racing and tarmac rallying in his ’69 Datsun 240Z.
