Banrock Station Winemaker Riverland Story by Banrock Station

For over a decade, Banrock Station wines have brought the pleasure of fine Australian wine and the message of conservation to the world.

At Banrock Station, they have created the perfect environment for some of the world’s classic grape varieties. Their flavoursome, easy-drinking wines of true fruit character appeal to palates the world over. Every one of them comes with the added satisfaction of helping the team to help the earth.

Banrock Station is a large property located on the banks of the River Murray in South Australia. When purchased in 1994, the land was severely degraded after over a century of sheep grazing. A massive undertaking and transformation has seen the area’s native wetlands and woodlands restored, creating a healthy and sustainable environment.

Now, it’s not just native birds who flock to the property; visitors are welcome to explore boardwalks and enjoy wine tastings and meals at the Wine & Wetland Centre. It’s a showcase of sustainable architecture, with solar power, renewable materials and minimal environmental footprint.
