Peter Barry, today’s custodian of the family owned Jim Barry Wines has enthusiastically embraced his late, and much loved father Jim’s thought’s on life.

“At my age, my recommendation is to enjoy life each day, look forward to tomorrow, don’t ponder negatives, move forward to embrace every opportunity, do well, be successful, enjoy your family and be happy” said Jim Barry.

Peter’s eldest son Tom has just completed his Oenology degree from Adelaide University and becomes the third generation of his family to do so.

By the way, the pig is princess, she not only provides Peter with company in the vineyards, but succulent hams and pork from her off spring which the Barry family share with good friends and good wine.
