Michael Kerrigan and Gavin Berry have spent a total of zero hours on marketing research - and no consultants have been injured in the making of their wines.
There are many factors that make it easy to lose track of what got them into winemaking in the first place. Having been told that they need to make marketing-driven wines for the last decade, Gavin and Michael are delighted to present their own wines - KERRIGAN + BERRY - winemaker driven wines, wines that they just wanted to make because they like them.
Gavin and Michael have been making Western Australian wine for a combined forty-something years, and have been most closely associated with the two varieties that in their opinion define Western Australia; Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. A lot of grapes have gone through their crushers over that time from a lot of terrific vineyards and they have a depth of experience in these two varieties leading to the launch of the KERRIGAN + BERRY 2010 Riesling and 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon - the culmination of their combined careers.
