Zonte's Footstep, Vigneron, Langhorne Creek

Zonte's Footstep Vigneron Langhorne Creek Story by Zonte's Foosttep

The simple and avowed aim of Zonte's Footstep is to make the best wines they can, true to vineyard and variety, so long as they make a bloody good drink!

Well-known wine identities, Ben Riggs and Zar Brooks, teamed together with a group of mates to launch Zonte's Footstep in 2003. They pooled their old white utes and new-ish tractors to grow the best grapes from the best vineyards.

They named the winery after a 19th century Zante currant vineyard, as new plantings followed the original footstep. The current business dried up, but Zonte's Footstep became their blueprint.

While they believe the truth is out there in the vineyard, the proof is actually in the bottle and their wines are now at the vanguard of a revolution of wine styles. In fact, one wine scribe recently claimed Zonte's Footstep wines are "not old world, nor even new world, Zonte's is out of this world".
