Exciting times at the southern end of the Coonawarra strip - Hollick Wines is going through a transition; from entrepreneurial founders Ian and Wendy, to passionate daughters Mel and Kate.
But one thing remains the same - their commitment to what they call "pride of place".
The Hollick family believes wine should reflect the place where it’s grown, giving it individuality and uniqueness. Their carefully selected vineyard sites in Coonawarra and Wrattonbully have clearly identifiable regional characteristics.
Each wine bottled under the Hollick label represents the history of the site where it was grown. Careful viticultural practises, overseen by Stuart Sharam, are married succinctly with minimalist winemaking techniques by winemaker Matt Caldersmith to ensure each bottle retains unique characters from the vineyard.
The family is passionate about good times and great food, and offers enjoyable, food-friendly wine - perfect for now or cellaring for the future. Their vision is to share their wines and philosophy with as many likeminded people as possible, and ensure they leave their 'place' and environment in as good or better condition as when they started.
