When Angelo Puglisi was a youngster, he enjoyed working with his father and grandfather in the family vineyard and winery and was determined to produce commercial wines when he grew up. In 1968, he got that chance when he purchased the family farm aged 25 and set about with his family to open a cellar door and produce high quality, Granite Belt Wines - his cellar door was the first to open to the public in 1970.
Since then the family has led the Granite Belt Wine Industry into becoming, undoubtedly, the premier wine region of Queensland and has contributed to this recognition by producing wines that truly represent the flavours of the region.
