Burk Salter Wines is a boutique wine business owned and managed by Greg and Jane Salter. This unique vineyard is situated at Blanchetown in the lower reaches of the Riverland.
Burk Salter wines are produced using grapes sourced exclusively from the Salter family property. The first vines were planted by Burk in 1933 and today the Salter legacy has been carried on by his son Greg with further expansion of the vineyard and development of the Burk Salter wine label.
The Cellar Door is situated in picturesque Blanchetown, in a building that was once the old Mobil Service Station, which was built, owned and run by Burk and his wife Yvonne in the 1950’s. The mechanics garage now houses the Cellar Door and it's been fitted out with beautiful Red Gum bars and accessories adorning the walls that showcase the history of the Salter family, with tastings also available.
The rest of the building has been lovingly renovated and now offers B&B accommodation under the name of ‘Salter’s Station’.
