The team at Eastwell Estate, an organic vineyard on the banks of the Hay River, know how to work hard but also know how to play hard!

The Eastwell family purchased their six-hectare vineyard located on the north facing slopes of the Hay River in 2007. It comprises Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Cabernet and Shiraz - the five food groups - which were planted in 1998.

The magnificent site has always grown special fruit which had previously been contracted to local premium wineries and the Eastwell family has adopted old farming techniques to regain individuality in the wines.

They are committed to the environment and introduced biodynamic preparations in the vineyard in 2009, and since then, no pesticide or herbicide has been used. The results so far have been positive with wonderful flavours obtained in the fruit, which have of course,  carried through to the wines. In 2010 a portion of the harvest was also allocated to creating two preservative reds, which continue the positive environmental theme.
