Wayne Stehbens has spent most of his life making wine in Coonawarra - and has spent almost as much time restoring his beloved and rare sports car.
Wayne Stehbens has a passion for fast cars and fine wine - and has managed to blend the two perfectly in Coonawarra.
Wayne has been making wine at Katnook Estate in Coonawarra for more than 30 years and in this time, he has experienced 32 vintages, as well as the highs and lows of the industry. He's also managed to restore his Bolwell Australian sports car at the same time - although this project hasn't taken 30 years.
He calls this second project "Wayne's Long Wait" and he loves getting behind the wheel of this rare sports car almost as much as he loves the challenge of making the perfect Cabernet Sauvignon.
Although wine is his life and his passion, he is just as passionate about his family - and his fast car.
