The Mandala story began with a recurring dream in which Charles Smedley’s Nanna predicted the family would sell their home and buy a property with lots of water. Within weeks, the Dixon’s Creek vineyard was purchased.
A ‘mandala’ represents a complete circle, and signifies the elements that comprise what is important in life; the striving for balance. This philosophy is reinforced in their winemaking and viticultural vision, as they seek to produce vibrant expressions of varietals that excel in and reflect their region.
