A pioneering country restaurateur and innovative vigneron, Luigi Bazzani believes in traditional winemaking processes - he's not interested in following fads and fashions, nor is he motivated by profit. He has faith in his own directions and immense belief in the Pyrenees as Australia’s truly great wine producing region. His passion for winemaking is motivated by a desire to achieve the best possible results from each vintage - even if he has to gamble with nature. A string of five star “one off blends” ("Torchio” multi vintage aged pressings, “RedGold”, “Tribute” and his world famous Black Puma Avoca Shiraz are testament to his dreaming and daring.

Recipient of many honours, including 2008 Legend of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, and with a 50-year involvement with wine and food, Luigi has a commitment to making outstanding individual wines of great character, specifically designed and created to be matched with food.
