Dividing his formative years between helping plant and tend the family vineyards and pestering the local marine life in the ocean nearby, Joch Bosworth learnt the value of patience early.
After taking over the vineyards from his father in 1995, Joch drew on this virtue in his slow and painstaking conversion of the entire Bosworth vineyards to organically certified viticultural practices.
At the same time the Battle of Bosworth brand was slowly and surely established.
And what of the fishing? The obvious benefits of avoiding larger predatory marine life began to outweigh the pleasures of skin diving for abalone and crayfish off McLaren Vale's nearby coastline for the young Bosworth, but patience once again has paid off in spades for the older man.
A surfing trip with mates to wildest Sumatra yielded the biggest haul Joch could ever hope for. The giant ‘sea cow’ (Trevally) which Bosworth landed single-handedly fed all fourteen of his mates and is surely the ultimate reward of patience if his smile is anything to go by.
