Buster Reschke, Vigneron, Coonawarra

Buster Reschke Vigneron Coonawarra Story by Koonara

Buster is the welcoming committee at the Koonara cellar door, in the heart of Coonawarra. He loves kids, and can usually be found doing tricks for schmackos.

Koonara is the name of our property in Coonawarra which has been in the family for 100 years.

When wine is aged in fine oak barrels, a portion of it evaporates - winemakers call this the Angel's Share. The rest - we think - is their gift to us, which is why all of our wines are named after Angels.

Coonawarra is world famous for it's Cabernet Sauvignon, the king of grapes. Being 350km away from the nearest capital city, yet having more cafes and restaurants per capita than anywhere in Australia, Coonawarra is a secret worth discovering...and we'll guarantee a tail wag from Buster if you're prepared to travel the distance.
